Jason Alderman, our senior director of financial literacy, traveled to Las Vegas to speak on a panel at the Unity 2012 Convention a gathering of journalists of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender journalists and individuals who care about diversity and inclusion in news media. The panel was hosted by CNN’s chief business correspondent, Ali Velshi and gave journalists who typically cover financial matters the opportunity to ask questions about financial management and planning. The panelists gave tips on how to plan for a future in a difficult and oftentimes unstable industry. Here’s some insight from Jason on the conference, the questions and Visa’s financial literacy initiatives.
